Join yoga teachers Luna Anderson and Jessica Wood in the stunning Tuscan hills for 6 days of yoga, delicious food and nature in abundance. Step away from the craziness of city living, and come back to your natural state of flow, whilst we quite literally flow in nature.
Nestled deep in the heart of Tuscany we wish to create a beautifully safe space for you to delve deep into the practices of yoga, in a place that allows you the chance to deeply nourish your mind and body. During the six days you will be supported by both Luna and Jess with twice daily Yoga and meditation.
The morning will start with meditation followed by a dynamic practice and we will begin our evenings with a super chilled restorative or Yin session. Sprinkled throughout the six days there will be longer workshops to delve deeper in to the physical practices of yoga. As well as other holistic topics of interest that help us to find our creative flow once again.
Each morning we will awake with an optional 30 minute meditation, followed by a 90 minute Vinyasa flow yoga practice. The morning sessions will offer a more 'dynamic' practice. A chance to detoxify our bodies and our minds.
Our second daily practice in the evening will be a super chilled restorative practice or Yin Yoga. Yin yoga is a deeply introverted practice that works with the fascial tissues of the body and the subtle body respectfully, thus helping us to create a very nurturing and calming environment for the evening ahead.
The classes will be open level in order for you to really take control of your own practice, however we do recommend that you have experience with vinyasa flow yoga and are able to move through Surya (Sun Salutations) A and B to really make the most out of our morning practice. GROUP ACTIVITIES AND DOWNTIME
Together we shall visit the beautiful town of Siena for an afternoon of exploring the quaint Tuscan town and its historic architecture. On a separate night we will also visit the near by town of Castellina for an authentic Italian dinner.
We have purposely chosen to leave as much space in the schedule for you to enjoy your down time as you wish. We understand that in order to really walk away from this retreat feeling relaxed and centred, you need to be in charge of your time. As you sign up, we will recommended nearby excursions that might take your fancy, including wine tasting and a trip to a gorgeous natural hot spring. All this can be organised close to departure or upon arrival at extra cost to the retreat package.
The villa boasts a lovely pool in which to lounge by and is surrounded by nature in all her glory. With many historical walks nearby to the villa; we imagine most will want to take advantage of being steeped in the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
The retreat takes place in a unique and traditional Tuscan Villa decorated in a contemporary way. It is a real privilege for us to run a retreat here as it has never been open to the public. Jess is very close to the owners of the villa and has spent many summers there, during her teenage years. The house has developed organically over the last 20 years, with rich history, and love poured into it, truly special and supportive place for us all to recharge.
The villa is a real hideaway in the Tuscan hills and even quite hard to locate on Google maps (How cool is that!) If you have any questions regarding location and rooms, Jess is your girl to speak to.
The house is located 45 minutes from Florence airport and 1.5 hours from Pisa airport. Bare in mind, flights to Pisa are much cheaper than Florence. We will recommend flight times that we believe will be best suited to the retreat schedule and for group transport to the villa, however you may wish to tag on a few days to your trip to explore the beautiful scenery of Southern Italy.
Delicious, organic and vegetarian food will be prepared by the gorgeous Serena, founder of Luna Wellbeing. Brunch and dinner will be served and yummy, healthy snacks and teas will be available in the afternoon. One evening we’ll eat out for a traditional Italian meal in the nearby town.
A TYPICAL DAY'S SCHEDULE

Morning Juice and snacks offered before Yoga
09:00-11:00: Meditation and Yoga
Between late morning and afternoon there will be plenty opportunity for your own down time, hanging out by the pool, the villa grounds or beyond.
On Thursday we will take a trip to Siena between 12:30 and 17:30
On Friday evening we will dine out in a local town
18:00-20:00 (unless alternative time specified) : Evening Yoga Practice
20:00/ 20:15: Dinner and catch up
