Elemental Yin Yoga
WELCOME TO THE ELEMENTAL YIN
Thie Yin bundle supports the more active and fluid practice of elemental mandala vinyasa. Equally these videos can stand on their own as a beautiful bundle to turn our attention inwards.
1. EARTH YIN
With a focus on forward flexion to help us drop into the parasympathetic nervous system. Earth activating yin is nurturing 50 minute practice where we dive in to the sensations within stillness of a posture.
2. WATER YIN
The water element helps us tap into the emotional body. This is explored deeply within this practice through physical attention to the hips and pelvic area. We explore long holds in poses where we focus on external rotation and abduction of the legs helping us to counterbalance the effects of certain day to day patterns and habits upon the body.
3. FIRE YIN
Our Yin practice is a great opportunity to study our reactions and actions towards physical or emotional stress put upon ourselves. It shows us where our energy might be. Are we forcing our bodies too much because the ego says we should, or do we know when to hold back, to honour what we need in that given moment? The fire yin brings this dance of effort and ease to mind.
As all yin practice, with the air Yin, this is a chance to surrender deeply to the alchemy of the practice; To trust the process of unfolding, relearning and opening up to possibility and true potential. Air physically as us targeting the front body. working to stretch predominantly through the fronts of the hips, torso and the mobility of the shoulder.
